Day #4457 (Sun., Mar. 20, 2022) – Public Ice Skate
The kids wanted to be able to practice what they have learned in their skating lessons, so I took them to the public skate at the Hillsborough rink this afternoon. Katie’s skates were a bit wobbly, so her laces needed to be tighter. Bobby was complaining that his instep hurt, so the lady at the counter said he needed side 2, not size 1. They skated for about an hour and then were tired and exhausted and wanted to come home.
Katie wanted to do a photo shoot this afternoon, so my wife took her to the Botanical Gardens. Bobby wanted to stay home and play video games, but my wife made him tag along. Before long they were both having fun navigating tree stumps (see photo to the left).
Bobby and I played our first game of Battleship this afternoon. He was enjoying it up to a point, but once the food came along, he opted to eat while playing video games.
Ms. Fox replied to the email I sent her last night. She is eager to help us find a solution to Katie’s friend problem…
