Day #4463 (Sat., Mar. 26, 2022) – Madeline Albright

You can see Katie’s newly pierced ear in the photo to the left.

There was no viola/violin class today as the kids are on spring break, so we went right to the ice skating rink for their group lesson.  They are effectively just over the half way mark of their beginners group ice skating set of lessons.  We asked the kids if they wanted to proceed right on to the second level of lessons, but they want to take a break.  This is probably a good idea as we can still do public skates and they can continue to refine the basic skills that they have learned before moving on to more advanced skills.

On the way home we stopped off at Chick-Fil-A.  Both kids decided that they would get the kids meal, which is great because we have the option to swap out their prize for a small ice cream.  They never really liked the Chick-Fil-A surprises anyway.  The US flag at the Chick-Fil-A location we went to was at 1/2 mast, in honor of Madeline Albright, who died on Wednesday.

This evening Katie and I played basketball on the hoop out front of our house.  If we do this at a regular basis I think she will be quite good.  In fact, she is already pretty good…  Maybe she will join the team next year?
