Day #4465 (Mon., Mar. 28, 2022) – Squirt Gun Fight
I had Daddy/Son Day #47 with Bobby today. I started off the day by giving him a nice dollar bill, to add to his coin collection which we talked about on Friday.
The first stop was Chick-Fil-A, which was open as it is Monday. We opted to have the ice cream over the toy in the kid’s meal, but they gave us a toy as well, which was an English-German language game.
The next stop was to the Dollar Tree. This is the first time that Bobby has been in the Dollar Tree since before COVID. He picked out a package of squirt guns, some “red vines” licorice candy, and a squishy. I also added a styrofoam glider to the haul.
Next up was Harris-Teeter. I picked up a large fresh homemade pizza as it was on sale. Bobby took no time in putting some of the “freezes” popsicle-type candy into the shopping cart. He even helped me to check out (see photo to the right).
When we got home Bobby wanted to have a squirt gun fight. Katie joined in as well. They had a great time squirting me on the bottom as I filled up my gun. I pretended to hide behind the tree…but they could easily see where I was.
