Day #4485 (Sun., Apr. 17, 2022) – Easter Egg Hunt
The kids had their annual Easter egg hunt this morning. Katie has pretty well outgrown it, and is only doing it for Bobby. I didn’t bother to make a map for the eggs this year as nobody seemed to follow it. This might be the last year for the hunt. Maybe next year we will be giving them Easter Baskets, which is what most parents seem to do.
You can see the kids relaxing on Katie’s bed and enjoying the candy in the photo to the right. As a special treat this year they each received a large chocolate bunny.
My wife took Katie to see the play, “Wrinkle in Time” at Paul Green Theater on the UNC campus. Katie really liked it. On the way they dropped Bobby off at Cal’s house for a play date, and picked him up on the way home.
This evening I made some “Hoover Stew”. A depression era meal, it was really cheap to make and very tasty. It sure hit the spot. Nobody else in the house ate it, but perhaps when it is heated up tomorrow.
