Day #4486 (Mon., Apr. 18, 2022) – Venus Fly Trap

The photo to the right shows a scene from the play that my wife and daughter saw yesterday.

I took Bobby to Glenwood this morning.  He wanted to eat breakfast in the car.  It was raining like mad, a cold April rain.  We discussed what makes a number “odd” or “even”.  Just before I dropped him off we discussed how a Venus Fly Trap gets nitrogen from the bugs it eats as there is no nitrogen in the soil in Eastern North Carolina.

For school lunch today Bobby had pizza bagels.  As it was raining so hard outside, for recess he and Luke stayed inside and played with the magnetic blocks.

This afternoon the kids had their viola/violin lessons.  The teacher gave Bobby an extra song as I think she believes he is advancing so well.  He did say that one of the main problems he has is standing so long.  The teacher is saying that he just has to develop muscles for this.

This evening Katie gave me a bit of a recital as to what she is learning in orchestra class.  She can sure make the viola sing.  When she gets older, if she ever gives a solo, you will be able to hear a pin drop as everyone will be paying attention to her.  I keep telling her and Bobby that if they learn a few Christmas songs, she could go out on the street corner and perform this Christmas and make some serious spending money!
