Day #4494 (Tue., Apr. 26, 2022) – Estes Construction

I dropped Bobby off at Glenwood this morning.  We talked about the fact that he doesn’t eat school breakfast anymore, even though it is free to him.  Today is a good day as he doesn’t have Mr. Yang and it is music day!

The photo to the right shows the construction work that is taking place on Estes Road.  It’s going to be one-way for the foreseeable future, which means picking Katie up and dropping her off is a bit of a challenge.

When I picked Bobby up this afternoon, he told me that they had cheese quesadillas for lunch.  He ate it, but it’s not his favorite as it’s too hot he says.  We talked about music class and he told me that they did “stations” today.  Basically you spend some time at a station and then move on to the next station.  There is one station for instruments and I guess they have another station where they play a card game.  When you pick a card out of the pack you have to sound off the rhythm.

It was raining cats and dogs soon after we arrived home.  Katie phoned Bobby on his iPad to tell him to get the umbrella out and bring it to her in the van when they arrived home.  My phone was in the bedroom so I didn’t hear the call.

This evening the kids performed a duet.  Bobby played the main tune on the violin and Katie harmonized on her viola.
