Day #4509 (Wed., May. 11, 2022) – Yo-Yo
Since I have my Camry now, we are back to the regular school “drop off” scenario. I drop off Bobby and my wife drops off Katie.
I picked up Bobby this afternoon. I got there at 1:58 pm so I was able to actually go into the parking lot as opposed to the street. While I waited for Bobby I read “The Dangerous Book For Boys” about the Navajo Code Talkers and the language that they developed. I talked to Bobby about this on the drive home.
Bobby had a chickenburger for lunch today, and on the way home he expressed a desire to have another one. I told him that Chick-Fil-A has a pickle slice on their chickenburgers, and by the time we got home all he wanted was some pickles in juice.
I spent some time with Bobby this afternoon showing him how to get his new yo-yo to work. He accidentally got the string tangled so I had to explain to him how you need to learn why things are not working, not force them, or you will get into a bigger mess. We spent some time watching YouTube videos on the various tricks you can do.
