Day #4537 (Wed., Jun. 8, 2022) – Lunch With Bobby

Katie is still not feeling the best, so she stayed home again today, which is the last full day of the school year at both Phillips & Glenwood.

At noon today my wife and I went to Glenwood so that we could have lunch with Bobby (see photo to the right).  We brought our folding chair, but fortunately we were able to find a picnic table which we could sit at.  The first half was meal time, and then they had an award ceremony.  It’s funny how these award ceremonies go these days, every kid gets an award, even if they have to make one up… 🙂  Back when I was going to elementary school you had only a few awards and if you didn’t get one, the onus was on you to do better next year and win it.  Bobby got the “Awesome Attitude” award.  They spelt his last name wrong… 🙁  Go figure!

Tinsley’s mom, who is the President of the Glenwood PTA, was there.  Bobby pointed out Ari, Jack, and Beatrice for me.

We are gradually getting ready for Ocracoke.  We will be leaving on Saturday morning, so we have only a couple of days left to pack and get ready.
