Day #4553 (Fri., Jun. 24, 2022) – Movie: Jungle Cruise

Today is the last day of viola/violin camp so the kids had a concert for the parents (see photo to the right).  There were only four kids in the camp, so the concert was only an hour long.  During the concert the teacher mentioned that Katie’s ear is so good that she tried to play harmony on the viola.  I talked to her later about this and she said that Bobby had a great ear as well.  Wonderful!  This is kind of “magical” to me.

To celebrate we took the kids to Chick-Fil-A afterwards.  My wife and I didn’t get anything to save money.  Katie got a kids meal and Bobby only wanted chocolate milk.

When we got home we had Daddy/Daughter Day #119 and Daddy/Son Day #50 in front of the television in the living room.  My wife joined us.  We watched the movie “Jungle Cruise” with the Rock and Emily Blunt.  It was a good action movie, with a bit of romance, but kind of hard to follow in terms of the plot.  We all enjoyed it though…  Katie finished off her Chick-Fil-A meal.  I made a TJ’s cheese pizza for Bobby and I.  For dessert we had Zebra cakes and Pixy Sticks!

This evening I got the portable record player that I ordered from eBay.  A bit of nostalgia playing some of the old time 45 records like Anne Murray’s “Snowbird” and Glen Campbell’s “Witchita Lineman”.
