My wife took the van to the shop this morning to have the front bumper reattached… My temporary “duct tape” solution held in place till today though! This afternoon Lloyd’s Tire called saying that they fixed the Camry. The alternator belt was loose, and it set us back under $100 to fix… We have both cars back!
With both cars back I drove to Harris-Teeter to get some supplies. I promised the kids that I would get them some popsicles. They pretty well ate them all throughout the day, and you can see the residue in on Katie’s floor (see photo to the left). She promised to clean it up. Oh well, such is summer fun! They sure did enjoy them with their video game playing in the summer heat! By the end of the day most of them were gone!!!
I’m not sure what it is with the kids, but when they are done the ice cream cartons they leave the empty ones in the freezer. This makes it hard to figure out what is needed at the store! You open the door, see the carton of popsicles or “whatever”, and assume that you don’t need to get more of them… Go figure!
We all had a high temperature today. Do we have COVID? Not sure where we would have gotten it?
More January 6th hearings on TV today. My wife had meetings throughout the day so I taped them so we could watch them in the evening. We ended up staying up past midnight to watch these hearings and comments about them on YouTube.
Time sure flies… In a little over a month the kids will be back at school! In Canada summer vacations lasted from the last week of June till after Labor Day, which was usually the first week in September.
