Day #4575 (Sat., July 16, 2022) – Jumanji!

The kids are busy building a mansion in Roblox today.

This afternoon I decided to have Daddy/Son Day #52 with Bobby.  It quickly morphed into a family day as well.  For starters I took Bobby to Chick-Fil-A, his favorite.  We picked up a kid’s meal for Bobby, and also one for Katie.  My wife and I each got one of their salads.  I like the Cobb and my wife likes the Market.  Bobby opted for an ice cream cone instead of one in the dish so that he could eat it on the way home.

I asked Bobby what his perfect day would look like.  He said that he would live in a mansion and swim in the mansion’s pool.  I added that he would probably have a table with umbrella next to the pool and after a quick dip he could go there to play his computer games.  He would then have a little bell to ring for his butler to bring him a dozen Dunkin Donuts.

I told Bobby, as I told Katie the other day, that my greatest wish is that we would have enough money in retirement for them to cover all their needs, like shelter and food.  Their “wants”, well, that’s another matter.  The idea being that if all their needs are met, they can spend their lives pursuing their passion, whether being an artist or a video game developer.

Once we got home we started to watch Jumanji (see photo to the right), the 1995 film with Robin Williams, on Hulu in the living room.  We only pay $0.99/month for Hulu, and after today’s experience I’m not sure if it’s costing too much.  It kept stopping throughout the movie.  I wonder if their servers are not that powerful or if they don’t have enough bandwidth?

At any rate, everyone enjoyed the movie, especially how everyone had a happy ending once the movie was over.
