Day #4584 (Mon., July 25, 2022) – Sewing Machine

My wife’s sewing machine stopped working so I drove it out to “Capital Sew & Quilt” in Cary this morning (see photo to the left).  This is the closest repair station that will service it.  Too bad we don’t have one here in Chapel Hill.  At any rate, it’s amazing how Cary has changed in the 10+ years since I lived there.

The lady plugged the machine in and it worked.  There is a little “bobbin” switch on the top that was in the wrong position, we thought that’s why it wouldn’t work, but when we got home, same problem.  I disconnected the foot petal, and the error message went away, so we’re making progress.  In the end we called Jen, the lady who helped me out at “Capital Sew & Quilt”, and trouble shot the issue…  It is indeed the foot petal that is the problem.  We will get another one from Amazon.

When I got home I took the kids to the Clark Pool for a dip.  We didn’t get there till after noon, so there were more people, but still not too bad.  It’s amazing how great this pool is and how few people actually take advantage of it.

I got the connection cord for my PS2 to the television today.  I took the analog tv, PS2, cables, etc. to the bedroom to troubleshoot and make sure everything was working properly.  It is, but the Spiderman Game I have is the PC version…I need to find the PS2 version somewhere in the basement.  In the meantime I went ahead and ordered three used games for the PS2 from eBay.  They are:  Grand Tourismo 3, Tetris, and Escape from Monkey Island.  Really cheap as these games are not only used but 20+ years old!
