Day #4586 (Wed., July 27, 2022) – Drawing At Big Al’s
I took Katie to Big Al’s today for a burger and fries and to do a bit of sketching. Bobby didn’t want to come, so it effectively became Daddy/Daughter Day #121. We shared a burger and some fries and sat outside on one of the benches and drew the surroundings (see photo to the left).
I asked Katie if she wanted to go to McDonald’s for an ice cream but she was full, and it was really hot, so we just went home.
While we were gone my wife and Bobby had a little bit of a violin lesson. He still didn’t seem to indicate that he wished he would have come with us. Katie brought up the fact that maybe he doesn’t want to draw as he thinks that we are better than him? Not sure.
I got an email that the MLK Drive In is closing down. Today while Katie and I were out we saw a sign that the Lumina is opening up… Changes…
Tonight we watched the movie “Jewel of the Nile”. I made some cinnamon buns via the “Add 1/2 cup cream” method made famous on TikTok. The kids enjoyed munching on those.
Bobby was acting up during the movie, so my wife put him to bed. If there is not a lot of action he seems to lose interest. He injured his neck somehow. My wife said that he had been complaining about it all day.
While my wife was putting Bobby to bed Katie and I watched a couple of videos on YouTube. One was about the “Flat Earth Society” and the other was about “Lizard People Invading the Government”… Interesting, funny, and sad…
