Day #4590 (Sun., July 31, 2022) – Katie The Architect
I went to Trader Joe’s for groceries this morning. The forecast is to rain all day today and tomorrow, and we are out of milk. All was fine till I left TJ’s, at which time it really came down I got soaked.
On the way to Trader Joe’s, through my “rain dropped” windows, I saw an Aldi truck delivering groceries (see photo to the right). The Chapel Hill location, across the street from Trader Joe’s, is due to open on Wednesday.
Katie has expressed an interest in becoming an architect when she gets older. She is already designing buildings in “Blocksford” (sp???), an online game. She expressed an interest in creating a little Lego village full of houses. Here’s the online definition of Bloxburg:

I played Legos with the kids this afternoon in the bedroom. Bobby wanted to role play and Katie wanted to design houses, so we tried to compromise. Eventually this morphed into Bobby playing Tetris, then “Escape from Monkey Island”, on the tv recently relocated to my desk. He gets frustrated with it as there is slow progress, so I’m going to watch a YouTube video to see how to progress further and not just “spin our wheels”.
