Katie didn’t want to go to the pool this afternoon so I took Bobby. Bobby brought two of his Lego boats and enjoyed playing with them at the pool. The lifeguards didn’t give us any problems. They do not want you to bring inflatable toys or squirt guns though.
This afternoon I had a doctor’s appointment. The doctor gave me the first of two “Shingles” vaccines. I’m glad to get it. Everyone who I know who has had “Shingles” talks about the misery they go through. I’d prefer to avoid that…
After the doctor I stopped off at Harris-Teeter to pick up some groceries. The rice krispie squares that I made yesterday were such a hit that I needed to get more marshmallows. I also picked up some chocolate/vanilla ice cream cone desserts that were on sale. When I got home I gave one to Bobby who was in the tub, and Katie who was in her bedroom. My wife took the third one out of the fridge and Bobby got out of the tub and took the last one before I even knew that they are all gone!
The freezer would not close after I brought home all the groceries from Harris-Teeter. I thought that maybe some ice cream or popsicles fell behind the drawers, but instead, a HUGE sheet of ice was the problem (see photo to the right). My wife said that this will form if the freezer is not draining properly.
Bobby was playing online with Brin this evening so my wife and I had a road race with Katie on the Nintendo Switch. Katie beat us almost every time. I’m not sure of the exact technique she is using, but it’s effective.
