Day #4603 (Sat., Aug. 13, 2022) – Victoria, B.C.!

My wife went to see the vet this morning to see about having a necropsy done on Robin.  It would be nice to see what he died of.  They don’t offer this service, but the Department of Agriculture office in Raleigh does, so I drove Robin’s body out there this afternoon.  Our vet in Carrboro gave us a nice plaque of Robin’s paw prints (see photo to the left).

After dropping Robin off, I toured around the Cary area.  It sure has changed since I lived there.  The Blue Ridge Theater is gone now and a new apartment complex has gone up in it’s place.

My wife and Katie have been bringing Batman upstairs to try and comfort him.  We’re thinking of seeing if he will acclimate with Maple more that Robin is gone and he is alone is the basement.

This evening the idea popped into my head about going to Victoria, B.C. during Christmas vacation this year.  Katie has been asking for another vacation, and a “winter” one, and it would be nice to see Canada again.  My wife ordered some travel books and we are going to look into it before mentioning it to the kids.
