Day #4613 (Tue., Aug. 23, 2022) – $100 Babysitting
Katie and Bobby went over to Arnesa’s to babysit Ayra and Onsar this morning. Arnesa gave Katie $100 for all the babysitting she has done for her. Katie is ecstatic. I told her that she could be like a “typical” person these days and use the $100 to purchase something on Amazon that normally goes for $200 and is on sale for $101, and tell everyone how much money she saved… Katie replied that “but then I wouldn’t have any money”. Exactly I said…
Apparently Bobby was trying out a scooter over at Arnesa’s and fell off. A bit scraped up, but he’s fine.
I made a couple of hot dogs for the kids at lunchtime today. Katie likes hers plain while Bobby likes a bit of ketchup (see photo to the right).
For dinner this evening my wife made the kids the “Canadian Bacon & Pineapple” pizza that I picked up at Harris-Teeter the other day. There was only one piece left by the time I went to the kitchen, so the kids obviously loved it!
My wife is still trying to “acclimate” Batman with Maple. The good news is that Maple doesn’t pay as much attention to Batman. In fact, as my wife was reclining on the couch and holding Batman, Maple was eating in the kitchen. The bad side of the equation is that Batman looks “horrified”. Eyes wide open with this “what are these crazy people doing now”… 🙂
Three years ago today we were trying out the Sorin’ Ride at Disneyworld. As Bobby was heading to the fridge this evening for a snack he stopped to watch my video of it on YouTube. He will do anything to prolong his bedtime… 🙂
