Day #4619 (Mon., Aug. 29, 2022) – First Day Of School
Today was the first day of school for both Katie and Bobby! Katie starts 7th grade and Bobby is in 2nd grade this year. My wife dropped Katie off at Phillips and I dropped Bobby off at Glenwood.
I saw a mask on the booster seat when I got home so I thought that Bobby forgot to take it. Luckily I took a picture of Bobby as he was heading off to class and upon closer inspection you can see the mask (see photo to the right).
Katie is indeed separated from Murren this year. Yeah! Tinsley is also in one of her classes. For some reason Katie’s band class has dropped from over a dozen students to five. Maybe they didn’t enjoy band as much as they thought they would, or they were not good enough? Probably the former…
My wife went to Glenwood at noon today to check out Bobby so that they could have lunch together. We’re still trying to organize it so that we will have a group of parents that can take turns and so we don’t need to go there ourselves each and every day.
I picked up Bobby after school today. When we got home he wanted a tomato & turkey sandwich like his mother made for him. I asked him if he wanted cheese and he said no. I was worried that it would not be like the one his mother made for him but he liked it. In fact he said that it was delish.
This evening Katie and I watched a YouTube channel called “Ryan Comedy”. I guess Katie and Bobby both like it. Kind of “strange humor” in my opinion.
