Day #4635 (Wed., Sept. 14, 2022) – Library Graphic Novels

I’m still not feeling my best, so my wife dropped Bobby off at Glenwood this morning.  I did have energy enough to drop her off at her Chinese class later in the day.

After dropping my wife off I went to Aldi for supplies.  Mainly milk, but I also got some Reese’s cups that Katie has been asking for.  My wife wanted me to get a lot of applesauce pouches as both kids like those.  I also got a Red Baron stuffed cheese pizza for dinner that was a real hit!

Next up?  Picking up Bobby at school.  Walker is a boy who helps take the kids to the car and Bobby really likes how nice he is to him.  Today was a bad day at school for Bobby as he had the dreaded “Chinese Culture Class” with Mr. Yang.

Just before we got home I told Bobby that I loved him.  She said that I love you too daddy.  I said do you know why I love you?  He asked why.  I said “Because like me your two favorite pass times are napping and interpretive dance”.  He replied “You’ve got the wrong kid”.  Even Bobby is formulating a sense of humor…

My wife took Katie to the local library today as Katie wanted to pick up some graphic novels (see photo to the right).  The main one she wanted was the one on top.  I told her that the one below that reminded me of Bear Mountain, Victoria.

There was some drama in Katie’s orchestra class today.  Apparently the teacher scolded Katie for not playing.  The reason was that she missed school last week, including orchestra class, and was not sure what to play.  Perhaps a misunderstanding…  We’ll talk to the teacher and figure it out…

This evening I showed Katie the YouTube video about “Elephant Garlic” to Katie.  We talked about the math and the numbers as she munched away on her Ramen noodles (without spices).
