Day #4638 (Sat., Sept. 17, 2022) – Ensar’s Birthday

I toasted two and finished up the box of Strawberry Toaster Struddel’s in the freezer this morning.  The kids loved them!

I’m on the mend due to the Z-Pac, but my wife is up and down with what looks like the same virus.  Nonetheless, she felt good enough to take the kids to Ensar’s Birthday Party.  We are giving him the same magnetic block toy that Bobby loves so much.  Katie even designed a birthday card for the event (see photo to the right).

The kids really enjoyed the party.  They even rented a tractor!  Katie and Bobby enjoyed running around playing a game of tag.  My wife told me that it looked like Katie was having even more fun than Bobby.  They were tired when they came home, and I had some fresh baked cinnamon buns to share with them.

The cinnamon buns I made are just your regular “run of the mill” Pillsbury type cinnamon rolls in a package, even if I did pick these up from Aldi.  The key is to add 1/2 cup of cream to the rolls while you are baking them.  This makes them really moist…much like the Cinnamon Bun rolls that you pick up at the mall.  Delish!

Katie is going great on designing her Blocksford village.  Someone gave her $50,000 in Blocksford dollars the for the privilege of playing in it.  Katie tells me with that amount of money you can buy a small card.  She usually charges $2,000 to play.
