Day #4645 (Sat., Sept. 24, 2022) – Swings Up!
My wife took the kids to viola/violin practice this morning. Both kids did great! Katie did wonderful by accompanying the other kids on violin with a totally separate piece on viola. She read the notes put in front of her and had never even seen it before. What talent!
My wife also took Katie to get her COVID booster this morning. My wife will have her booster tomorrow, and I will have mine next week.
I put the new swing up today! It took quite a while because I had to remove the duct tape that held the sleeve over the rope. I was happily surprised to see that the sleeve has protected the rope perfectly. No signs of wear or tear on the rope as it scraped on the tree branch, which is exactly why we bought the sleeve. This one had a blue seat, as opposed to red, but the function is exactly the same. You can see Bobby posing with it in the photo to the left.
My wife took the kids to Staples this afternoon to get their passport photos taken. She will take the applications to the post office next week and mail them off to Canada. I told her about the “Global Express Program” with signature delivery, which is exactly what we need.
My wife took the scissors out and cut off the “ratty” fur near Maple’s hind quarters this evening. Nasty job…glad I don’t have to do it!
