Day #4649 (Wed., Sept. 28, 2022) – COVID Testing

Bobby and I went out to our family doctor in Carrboro to get a COVID test this morning.  We rang the buzzer at the back door (see photo to the left), and the lady came out with a “swab” to test us.  I didn’t have a problem with it, but Bobby started to cough when she put the swab up his nose.  Mission accomplished!  They are going to call us in an hour or so with the results.

When I got home I went to bed for a nap and when I got up Katie told me that mom took Bobby to school this morning when the doctor called and said we are both “COVID FREE”.  Bobby didn’t complain about going to school as he knows he will not be able to go to the couple of birthday parties we have lined up for him if he has COVID.

I drove out to Glenwood this afternoon to pick Bobby up.  On the drive home we were behind Margaret’s car.  Remember Margaret?  She was in Bobby’s preschool.

My wife went to Glenwood this evening for a parent’s meeting.  She got to talk to Mr. Yang, the class which Bobby hates.  My wife told him that he didn’t understand what he was saying since it was in Chinese.  Mr. Yang said that if he shows a Chinese video he also shows it in English as well…  The plot thickens…

I made the kids hot dogs with some of the Aldi “McDonald’s Like” french fries this evening.  They both lived the fries but were not too crazy about the hot dogs…
