Day #4659 (Sat., Oct. 8, 2022) – Father/Son Projects

I’m feeling okay this morning.  I had my second “three pill round” of paxlovid at 6 am this morning.  I now know what they mean by “Metal Mouth”, that dry mouth feeling that you get when you are taking this drug.  I think it might be due to the fact that it drains the moisture away from your tongue?

I thought I would share the full grocery cart of Aldi food that I picked up the other day (see photo to the left).  This whole cart only cost me $218.10 !!!

When I’m feeling sick and “down in the dumps” I have an online regimen that I have been following of late.  I play a round of chess via Chess.com and if I win, I try to win 3 rounds of solitaire at Solitaired.com.  To date I have only been able to complete this feat three times… 🙂  Easy to win at chess, but much harder to win three rounds at solitaire.

I’m always trying to find something new to do with Bobby.  I decided to take the time this afternoon to search the internet and come up with some interesting projects that we can do for Daddy/Son Days.  Here are a few ideas I found:

  • Balloon Rockets: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/406098091378719792/
  • CD Hovercraft: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/406098091378795036/
  • Clothes Pin Rubber Band Shooter: https://www.instructables.com/Clothespin-Rubber-band-Shooter/

There is a middle school dance coming up and Katie is not interested in going.  Tinsley wants Katie and a few other girls to come over to her house and then they can go to the dance together.  I told Katie that if she doesn’t want to go that is fine.  We had a long chat about how it’s preferable to not have to think about boys at this age.  She already has a couple of boys pestering her at school and it would be better for her to focus on her school work.
