Day #4671 (Thu., Oct. 20, 2022) – NC State Fair
This afternoon my wife and I drove the van and picked up Bobby at Glenwood, and then went to Phillips to pick up Katie. We were then off to the NC State Fair!
We dropped off the 24 cans at the entrance so that we could get in “free”.
First up, the Ferris Wheel!
Next up? Eating and watching the animal show featuring camels, a pig, and dog tricks. Bobby had a hamburger and a lemonade. Katie had a cheeseburger and a lemonade. My wife and I each had a gyro.
Next up? The Sky Lift to the other end of the park. You can see the view from the sky life in the photo to the left.
Bobby saw the bumper cars as we were gliding overhead and wanted to give them a go as soon as we got off. All four of us went on the ride the first time. I don’t think Bobby was able to activate the gas pedal so he and I went on the ride again. This one was much more successful!
Next up? The log run. Two men, and even a dog, ran up and down logs that were in a bed of water.
Next up? The Sky Lift back to the other end of the park.
As we were leaving we got the kid some more munchies. Cotton candy, candy apples, and Katie even got a snow cone.
Bobby was beat so he slept in the van on the way home.
