Day #4693 (Fri., Nov. 11, 2022) – Veteran’s Day
Today is Veteran’s Day here in the US, so no school for the kids today. We were thinking of going skating in Hillsborough today, but thunderstorms are rolling in, so we stayed close to home.
I thought that I would have a combined Daddy/Daughter/Son Day today, so we all went to Chick-Fil-A for some food and huddled around the television in the living room to watch the movie “The Addams Family 2”, where they go on a road trip across America. This was effectively Daddy/Daughter Day #126 and Daddy/Son Day #57. My wife had her Chinese class at UNC so she could not join us.
The kids got their usual kid’s meal at Chick-Fil-A. Bobby got a chocolate milk and Katie got a fruit punch. They opted to have an ice cream cone instead of the toy, and ate it on the way home. I think you get more ice cream on the cone than you get in the dish. I got a Cobb Salad with Avocado/Lime Dressing.
Bobby got a toy spy kit in the mail today. I helped him assemble the plastic safe (see photo to the left). You have to work various sections of the safe in order to get the key to open the safe with.
Stocks are up for a second day in a row today. Will this rally last? Time will tell.
