Day #4700 (Fri., Nov. 18, 2022) – Snare Drum Brushes
Both kids are home sick again today. I’m feeling exhausted, and even my wife is not 100%, so we definitely have something. My wife took the kids to the doctor but she was unable to pinpoint the problem. Bobby was energetic 1/2 way through the day, but crashed in the evening.
My wife and the kids watched the 2018 rendition of “Mary Poppins” in the living room as they didn’t finish it when they started to watch it a while back.
We purchased some snare brushes for the snare drum from Amazon. I accompanied Katie on the viola with them. They work great for marching songs or songs with a beat, but not so much for those slower songs with a ballad feel. The plan is to accompany them while they practice at home. I certainly won’t be going busking with them… 🙂
I got a new coffee maker today courtesy of Amazon. The old Gevalia one that I got for free for ordering their coffee just died. We had it all the way back to our time in Cary, which was over 10 years ago. Certainly well worth it… 🙂 This new one is a “Mr. Coffee” brand, like I had when I was a kid. No programmable buttons or the ability to have it make coffee first thing in the morning, but I never used those buttons on the coffee maker that just died so I don’t miss them.
