Day #335 (Sat., Dec. 4, 2010) – First Snow Of The Season

Little Katie is 11 month old today! Last year at this time my wife and I were waiting for her to arrive on Christmas Eve, December 24th. Little did we realize that little Katie was waiting for the new year…

Little Katie weighed 21 lbs 8.5 oz. She almost a size 4 diaper now…it starts at 22 lbs. She is already wearing a specially designed size 4 diaper at nighttime. It is thicker so it absorbs more liquid.

This is the first time that my wife tried Amazon subscription service. Diapers come every 6 months in a huge package and you get a discount for this subscription. You can modify how often you get the diapers, and if you are not ready you can tell them this. If you want an additional package of diapers that is an option as well.

All three of us went to do errands this afternoon. First stop was Subway for a sandwich. The $5.00 footlong feeds both my wife and I, and little Katie tried a new jar of Green Peas, Turkey and Wild Rice (which was not a big hit). While I was eating my sandwich little Katie grabbed out with lightning speed and took the sandwich wrapper off the table and threw it on the ground. I told my wife I’m glad that I was not eating soup…

Next stop was the Dollar Store in Apex to pick up gift wrapping paper and supplies. On the way there it started to snow. Too bad we forgot our camera. We really need to keep our old camera in the car in case of “must have” scenes like this. I was able to take a picture when we got back home (see photo to the left).

When we took little Katie out of the car we noticed that her boots were off. They have bright yellow laces and little Katie will work at them til she is able to loosen them and kick her boots off.

Last night little Katie would not sleep, so we went for another drive. She slept for two hours and my wife and I got to see some great holiday decorations.
