Day #4724 (Mon., Dec. 12, 2022) – Pajama Day!
It’s Pajama Day at Glenwood today. On the way to school this morning Bobby told me that Pavel is the bad kid in class. He also told me that Jimmy told his classmates that his girlfriend was not Brin but another girl and other kids are teasing him about it. I talked to my wife about it this evening and we are thinking of getting the social worker at Glenwood involved…
For day #12 of the advent calendars, the kids got some “blow up Christmas tree decorations” (see photo to the left). You smash these little balloons with your hand, and they inflate…ready for the tree!
When Bobby got home from school this evening I made him a couple of the White Castle cheeseburgers that I picked up at Aldi yesterday. He liked them, so I think we will be getting more of them in the future. When Katie got home from school 30 minutes later, I had her McDonald’s fries and cheeseburger (that I picked up for her yesterday) hot out of the air fryer. Delish! What a great little machine an air fryer is.
Katie got a grade of 100 for her orchestra performance last week. She also got a 99 for social studies…we debated why she didn’t get a 100. I told her that I used to get that as well and it’s because many teachers want you to know that there is always room for improvement.
This evening Bobby and I played some street (or driveway) hockey in the front yard. When we got tired we went inside and watched a YouTube video on restoring a gumball machine.
