Day #4725 (Tue., Dec. 13, 2022) – Chinese Palace Sit Down Meal!
Today is “Hat & Necklace Day” at Glenwood, but we didn’t have anything for Bobby to wear. Remember those reindeer antlers and Santa hats we picked up at the Dollar Store for busking? Nobody had any idea where they went… Bobby indicated that they were broke, so, wondering…
I was supposed to have my teeth cleaned this morning but when I arrived they asked me to come back tomorrow. Strange??? I think this might be because one of their staff didn’t show up. She said that she was 45 minutes late. First time I’ve ever been asked to come back tomorrow after having an appointment…
I picked Bobby up at Glenwood this afternoon and when we got home I made him two White Castle cheeseburgers. As soon as my wife arrived home with Katie we were off to see CiCi and get our haircuts. The whole family got haircuts, and with a tip, by the time we left, we were less $100…
We then decided to eat at a Chinese restaurant near where I used to live on the way home (see photo to the left). This is the first time in a LONG time since we all sat down at a sit in restaurant! The kids really enjoyed their dumplings. Katie got chicken fried rice, and Bobby got shrimp fried rice, but by the time where were done their dumplings there was little room for anything else. My wife got a Canton chicken dish and I got my ole’ regular of hot & sour soup and Singapore noodles. About $120 total with the tip, but we have plenty of food to heat up for tomorrow’s lunch!
It was hard for Bobby to sit still in the restaurant. He wanted to go outside to play, and got up from the table a couple of times to go see the fish in the large aquarium.
When we got home the kids opened up their advent calendars and it wasn’t long before Bobby was off to bed. I was exhausted so I went to bed as well. No TM for Katie and I tonight!
