Day #4743 (Sat., Dec. 31, 2022) – Cardboard Limo

Bobby found a couple of old ribbon rolls without any ribbon and asked if I would help him create a car out of them.  The result was the cardboard limo that you see in the photo to the left.  A bent coat hanger was used to hold the wheels in place.  I found an old Dell cardboard box to make the body of the car.  A black marker defined the details.  The hanger worked well to hold the wheels in place, but we’re looking around for some more elaborate wheels and axels to help stabilize the unit.

This evening I went to Aldi to pick up some groceries, especially milk (which we always seem to be out of).  While there I picked up a Hot Wheels action set for Bobby that was on sale.  Normally $29.99 it was marked down to $22.99.  We spent the evening putting it together and once assembled, with 4 “D Cells”, it was automatic!

Katie tried out a little “monologue” that she developed this evening.  It revolved around meeting her “ideal guy”.  Quite well done actually.  She is thinking about joining theater club this upcoming semester.

I also bought some sparkling wine to toast in the New Year.  We toasted it in around 10 pm as we were too tired to stay up late…

Today is the last day of 2022.  Let’s hope that 2023 is a much better year in terms of the economy and the stock market.
