Day #4744 (Sun., Jan. 1, 2023) – Happy New Year!
Well here it is 2023… Sometimes it seemed like this year would never come.
The photo to the right shows the Hot Wheels track that I picked up for Bobby at Aldi yesterday.
My wife took Bobby to Glenwood this afternoon. The initial plan was so that he could show Ethan the drone he got for Christmas. In the end Bobby decided to not let Ethan fly it in case it got lost or stuck on the roof. They ended up playing on the swings and running around on the playground. Katie tagged along as well and played with the boys and talked with the moms for a bit.
Bobby has been asking me to give him a guitar lesson so this evening I showed him how to play “Horse With No Name” by America, which is considered the easiest song to play on guitar. He asked his mom if he could drop the violin and pick up the guitar instead, but my wife said it would be fine to add it in addition to the violin, but not instead of it.
Katie is looking forward to school tomorrow, but with a bit of trepidation. She is not sure how to handle all the boys who are coming out of the woodwork and saying that they care for her.
Bobby and I got into a box of toys I found in the basement. There was a set of dice and we threw them around for a bit. We eventually worked our way outside where we tried out the Silly String, some Rocket Balloons, and played a bit of street hockey as well.
