Day #4749 (Fri., Jan. 6, 2023) – More Hot Wheels!

It’s hard to believe that all those events around the Capitol were two years ago today!  I can remember watching it live on the television in the living room with my wife.

Bobby has taken up teasing his sister from time-to-time and won’t stop when she asks him to.  I reminded Bobby how bad he felt when being teased at school when they say he has a girlfriend.  I think it’s important to draw these distinctions so that he realizes that whether it is him or someone else, when someone says they want a behavior to stop it needs to be respected.

I had to runs some errands this afternoon and ended up at Walgreens to pick up a prescription.  Low and behold, there was this package of Hot Wheels cars (see photo to the left).  They seemed to be about the right size so I thought I would pick them up for Bobby.  As it turns out, the purple one was perfect, in fact better than the car that came with the track I picked up on Saturday at Aldi.  The red one was ok, and the other cars were too wide to fit on the track.  Oh well, at least we have one great one!

Bobby wanted to play the card game of “Old Maid” with daddy this evening so we made a new set of “Old Maid Cards” out of a pack of cards we found in a box the other day.  He’s still up to his old antics of holding onto the card he doesn’t want me to take.  The end result is that the card gets twisted and mangled and then the set is no longer able to be used.

My wife asked Bobby to practice the violin this evening and he started to cry.  Tears flowing down his eyes and everything.  We have noticed that he can almost cry on demand…  Maybe we should sign him up for acting school?
