Day #4754 (Wed., Jan. 11, 2023) – Giant Unicorn Gummies!

Today is the day that they got a new fish in Bobby’s class at Glenwood. He said that it is a Betta fish (i.e.: “Siamese Fighting Fish”), one that needs to be alone. Apparently all the students will have chores assigned to take care of the fish on a daily basis.

Bobby had a chili hot dog for lunch today. It was hard to pin down from him what he liked about it, but maybe we should try to make one of the for him at home.

Bobby mentioned that the kids stopped teasing him about Lucia being his girlfriend. Probably because the teachers are watching the playground like a hawk these days and the kids know it.

This evening Katie, Bobby, and I played several rounds of “Old Maid”. I gave them each a giant unicorn gummy to munch on (see photo to the right). Gotta love that $1.42 price tag…so cheap because Harris-Teeter was getting rid of their overstocked Christmas candy.

Bobby is definitely getting better at playing “Old Maid”. He usually telegraphs when he gets the “Old Maid” card, which kind of tells everyone to stay away from his hand. We mentioned this to him, and he is taking it to hard. Definitely an improvement during the later hands of today’s session.
