It’s MLK Day today here in the US. I asked Bobby if they discussed it in class and he told me that they gave the class a brief talk on the subject last Friday.
This morning we decided that we would go to Victoria for Spring Break! It’s in early/mid April this year, so it gives us a couple of months to research where to go and what to see, but we at least needed to pick up the airline tickets today, which we did. Before that my wife and I called up a rental car agency in Victoria to make sure that they would have cars available around that time. During the height of the COVID pandemic, it was hard to get a rental car, but it looks like those days are over (at least for now till the next strain of COVID rears it’s ugly head).
I usually take the kids to horse riding lessons but my wife was able to get a lesson one hour early today so she took them. I guess there was a bit of drama as a hawk made it’s way into the barn and they had to figure out how to get it to fly out. The kids also learned how to “turn around” on the saddle while the horse was stationary (see photo to the right).
This evening I found some YouTube videos on various people playing Book #1 of the Suzuki Method and Bobby played along with them. That’s one way to get him to put in his practice time.
Katie and I watched a television episode on AI Art and how it’s revolutionizing the art world. Yes, the days of AI really are here folks!
