Day #341 (Fri., Dec. 10, 2010) – Reading To Little Katie
Hard to believe that two weeks from today we will be heading up to Canada. My how time flies…
When my wife brings little Katie back from a stroll she always wants to go into our 3rd bedroom, which is downstairs. It used to be my home gym, so it has lots of mirrors on the walls. We think little Katie loves these mirrors because she can look at herself. Today she was especially fascinated by the mirrors. She would crawl up to them and laugh and rock back and forth.
My mother-in-law sent us a nice hat and scarf (see photo to the left) that will come in handy for little Katie when we go up to Canada. Hopefully the weather will not be too cold…but you have to be prepared.
My wife and I took little Katie to Moe’s this evening. She loves the place. Lots of excitement and noise, and lots of people to stare at. She took one of their plastic straws, bent it in half, and munched on it while we were there.
After eating we ended up at a consignment store near the Harris-Teeter down the street. My wife was looking for a “plastic dinosaur” toy, but they did not have any in stock.
I read some books to little Katie this evening, which make changing her a lot easier for my wife. Sometimes it is really hard to change little Katie because she squirms so much, but tonight, my wife was able to have a conversation with her about all the things daddy showed her in the books I read to her.
