Day #4769 (Thu., Jan. 26, 2023) – Out Of The Easy

On the drive to Glenwood this morning Bobby kind of groaned when he realized that there would be violin class after school today.  We talked about it then, and we talked about it on the way home from Glenwood this afternoon. “Pep Talk” to try and get him to be good and get a reward rather than be bad and get punished.  Alas, he decided to be fussy & bad.  What are we going to do with him?

Katie is home from work again today.  He and her mother took Maple out for a walk this morning, which seemed to help her headache.  She plans to go to school tomorrow.  The photo to the left shows the book, “Out of the Easy”, that she is currently reading.

I had to drive to Hillsborough this morning to pick up a new bow for Bobby’s violin.  He didn’t ask any question on why it needed to be replaced, but I think part of it is how Bobby will kind of hit it against something when he is frustrated with his violin playing.

Just before bedtime this evening Bobby and I worked on a couple of experiments from one of the “Magic School Bus” monthly mailings that we got for Katie years ago.  One was taking a card away from a glass full of water and not having the water spill out.  Another was attaching a straw to a balloon and having it race across a string.
