Day #4779 (Sun., Feb. 5, 2023) – Jet Overhead

We decided to sign up Bobby for another day of Spence’s Farm as he seems so energetic and needs something to burn all this restlessness off.  The requirement was that he get his homework done, not be fidgety in violin class, and stop the “reminders” that he gets when he gets fussy at school.  We’ll see how it goes.  This new day will be on Friday, between his Thursday night violin class and the group violin class on Saturday morning, so the timing is great.

I went outside to play with the kids this afternoon.  Bobby and I started playing “hocker”, but soon Katie joined us and we had a few rounds of basketball.  We also played a hide & seek kind of game where they hid an item in plain sight and I tried to find it.  I downloaded Pokemon Go onto my phone, but it was a bit too much screen time and I don’t want Bobby to get addicted again.

While we were outside we noticed the exhaust from a jet overhead.  It went all the way from one horizon to the other.  I took a video of this, but you can see a photo of it to the left.  We looked up a few minutes later and noticed that the whole trail had shifted…  What a great opportunity to discuss why?  The fact that the earth was moving on it’s axis!

The kids performed a duet this evening on the viola/violin.  It was beautiful!  Once they practice this up I’m going to take them out busking…  They will clean up!
