We are letting Bobby to go “mask free” in Glenwood from now on, at least until we have another “spike” in COVID… He’s vaccinated, and his sister is going maskless in middle school. He told me on the drive home from school today that it made a big difference…
Bobby told me that it is Emily’s turn to feed Cookie the fish this week. I guess that Miss Wolk draws a student’s name out of a bowl each week in order to decide.
My wife went to sit in on Katie’s social studies class today to try and keep an eye on the kids. They were throwing a football around till she took it from them. One girl was doing her makeup. What a zoo…
I took the kids to Spence’s Farm for horseback riding lessons this afternoon. Katie got to ride on Spring, and Bobby got M&M (see photo to the left). As Bobby was taking Spring from the stable to the riding ring she tried to break away and join her friends in the pasture. Bobby tried to hold on, but she dragged him to the ground. He was fine, but his ego was a bit bruised. Laura, the trainer, told him to just let go next time. She will come back. She should have told Bobby before this mishap…
Katie did really good on Spring today. She got to “post”, which is what you do when the horse trots and you bounce up and down in the saddle. Bobby on the other hand had some difficulties with M&M. This horse was not in the mood to be ridden, and Bobby struggled with her all day. He gets kudos for hanging in there.
When we got home Bobby got a notebook from his sister. He is going to create a journal and write down his thoughts.
