Day #4783 (Thu., Feb. 9, 2023) – Teacher Raves About Bobby!
We received the following email about Bobby this afternoon from Ms. Wolk, his English teacher:
Thank you so much for your support. I can tell you sincerely that our partnership in working to support Bobby shows itself in many ways. I even told him today that I can see the amazing changes that happen when he puts his mind to something (we were talking about putting more space between words when he is writing). We did our science experiment today and Bobby worked so well with his lab partner. They remained on task, completed all directions without any reminders, and were all around great examples in classroom behavior. I hope this anecdote is encouraging and shows how great your efforts at home are paying off at school.
My wife took the kids to viola/violin class today. Bobby was a bit fidgety at first, but calmed down after a few minutes. Class is really hard on him, I know, but he is improving…
Bobby did his homework on his bed this evening (see photo to the left).
Katie told me that her jeans ripped while in school today… I joked that nobody would notice since they were already full of holes (over the knees and such, a fashion statement). She wants to purchase more expensive jeans than the ones we have been getting on sale from a Chinese outlet. It’s about that time she really gets into fashion anyway…
Katie has expressed a desire to go out busking to pay for all these jeans and such. I told her that if Bobby and her worked on the duet together that they performed for my wife and I the other day she would make some serious $$$… Hopefully they will work on a number of duets! I told her that if she could perform some sort of a viola trick that would be even better. She showed me this trick where you hold the bow and move the viola… Perfect!
