Day #4786 (Sun., Feb. 12, 2023) – Charades

The kids and I decided to play charades today.  We even got mom to play for a while.  I found a bunch of suggested topics on the internet and put them into this empty little gold box that my wife found amongst my belongings (see photo to the right).

It was a fun game, and “cheap” as well.  Just write some topics down on a piece of paper and then people pick one from the box without looking at it.  Highlights were Katie being Santa Claus, Bobby doing laundry, my wife being a drunk, and me being a plumber.

Bobby found some walkie talkies in my boxes of belongings and we spent some time trying to get them to work.  One was missing a spring and I fashioned a makeshift one out of tin foil.  It did get the power flowing, but there was something else wrong with the walkie talkie, and we could not get behind the circuit board, so we abandoned that project.  Bobby found a couple of cheaper ones and one mom showed us where the 9-volt batteries were we played with that for a while.

The Super Bowl was on television this evening and nobody but dad was interested in watching it.  I put it on mute for a while so the kids could do their viola/violin practice.  Bobby, as usual, was not too interested…

By the way, the Chiefs beat the Eagles in a game that went down to the final field goal.
