The photo to the right shows the toy knife that Bobby and I made yesterday. The inset photo shows the black paint on the blade drying. He wanted a tin foil handle and some red paint on the tip to simulate blood.
I dropped Bobby off at Glenwood this morning and was right back to bed. I’m stuffed up and very tired… I think I might be getting what Bobby had…
I did have enough energy to pick Bobby up at school this afternoon. On the drive home we talked a bit about the viola/violin lesson this evening. Miss Patricia has to have a tooth pulled tomorrow, so the lesson is tonight instead of tomorrow night. I told Bobby that it would really please her if he said “Thank you for correcting my technique”. (My wife told me later that he was “ok” during the lesson, but didn’t actually say it…).
On the drive home Bobby also mentioned how he still remembers the advice I gave him on how to determine the weight of a parrot. Get on the scale with the parrot on your finger. Record it! Get on the scale with the parrot not on your finger. The weight of the parrot is the difference in weights…
Once we got home Bobby wanted to continue to watch the movie “Free Solo” with Alex Honnold on the tv in the bedroom. He munched on, and finished, 5 TJ’s yogurt cups as he did.
When Katie got home from school she told me that her social studies teacher is back in class today. She took yesterday off as her grandmother died.
My wife ordered a binder for Pokemon cards and Bobby put them in it this evening. We’re not sure where these Pokemon cards came from. I suspect that they are from Peter, one of Karl’s kids.
Katie had her online architecture class today. They discuss architecture of famous architects in this class.
My wife and Katie were watching the 1998 skating performance of Tara Lipinski this evening on the television in the living room. Johnny Weir and here are judges on one of the fashion shows they watch.
