Day #20 (Sat., Jan. 23, 2010) – Fussy Baby
It’s 6:45am and guess what? All three of us are up! Will wonders ever cease… 🙂 Little Katie called the meeting and my wife and I answered the call (or yell!).
It’s 8:15am and my wife and I are ready to collapse from exhaustion. Little Katie is looking at us like “What’s the matter with you two…don’t you know how to party”?
It’s 2:30pm and my wife and I just got back from Katie’s 3rd stroll around the neighborhood. She was awake for some of this stroll (and not crying), so I think she got to enjoy the sights. She eventually did get into “crying mode” again (i.e.: still haven’t figured where the “off” switch is just yet), but my wife said that they sometimes do this before they fall asleep. Sure enough…a little while later and little Katie was catching some ZZZZzzzzz’s….
Remember I mentioned that one of my wife’s friends sent us a lovely package of “goodies” for little Katie yesterday? Well, we just had to show off all the nice clothes. Here’s the pic… My wife was going “aww, isn’t that sweet” and “aww, isn’t that cute”. Being a guy I’m not that much into fashion, but I really appreciate the thought that goes into picking them out and sending them to us.
5:00pm – We had another Skype session with my mother this afternoon. Little Katie was up for some of it, nursing for some of it, and sleeping for some more.
We got another package in the mail today. It was from the mother of our friend in Charlotte. She didn’t have to, but it’s so very nice to know that people care. I’m too exhausted to upload a picture now, but I will tomorrow…promise…
11:30pm – Little Katie is being a fussy baby. She eats a bit, then goes to bed, then cries, and the cycle continues. My wife and I are trying our best to adjust to her schedule…
