Day #4862 (Sat., Apr. 29, 2023) – Ayra Visits
Arnesa was not feeling well today so Ayra came to visit us for the day. The initial idea was that she would go to violin/viola group class this morning, but that class was cancelled. No problem, they came back home and she enjoyed playing with Bobby and Katie.
Next up was Bobby’s soccer match. Bobby got a chance to play goalie today, and nobody scored on him! (see photo to the left). After the soccer game Ethan’s parent’s took him to Umstead’s park for Ethan’s birthday party. My wife took the girls to see a play, and went to Umstead park afterwards to pick Bobby up.
There was a lot of leftover Papa John’s Pizza at the birthday party, so we got to have a special treat this evening. I made some cherry cobbler for dessert as we are out of ice cream. Everyone in the family loved it!
My wife and I watched an episode of “The Flying Doctor”, the old B&W Australian TV series that I used to watch when I was a kid and walked home from school during lunch. I remember having soup on a TV tray (remember those) while watching it before heading back to school in the wet rain…
