Day #4863 (Sun., Apr. 30, 2023) – Rainy Day!
The box of wind-up toys that I used when I was tutoring fell down and Bobby was playing with them this morning. I told him that he could take whatever he wanted, and I will probably put the rest up on eBay. He took the battery operated dinosaur with red eyes (that looks a bit like a velociraptor) that roars!
Katie, my wife and I started to watch another episode of “A&E’s Intervention” this morning. This one was about a former pilot who became an alcoholic. These episodes sure spur a lot of thought and commentary. Katie mentioned that she would like to become a therapist one day. I told her that she would be a good one, but because she is such a deep feeling person she would have to be careful not to take her work home with her…
It was raining like mad this afternoon. My wife took the kids to see the Chapel Hill Orchestra as Miss Patricia is playing in it. They were going to stop off at Yogurt Pump for a treat, but it was raining too hard. Just to the concert and back home. I had some turkey bacon and fries for them when they arrived.
I was going to go to Aldi for groceries, but we still have a bit of milk, so I will wait till tomorrow. I’d rather not have to deal with all this rain anyway…
Katie really doesn’t want to go to school tomorrow. She’s been off all week and now that it is Sunday the dread of going back to school is here…
