Day #4867 (Thu., May 4, 2023) – Phillips Concert

I drove Bobby to Glenwood this morning.  Along the way we talked about AI.  Apparently none of his teachers are talking about it yet, but they will…  I told Bobby that by the time he is my age he will probably have his own AI personal assistant robot.  He asked me if it would look like him.  Well, I suppose you could have a screen on the face and put his picture up there.  Who knows, the way that CRISPR is working maybe we will be able to totally clone a person and have them as AI robots… What a world we live in.  Hopefully they will not turn against us and kill us all off…  Having said that, maybe this will be the unify nations and China, Russia, the US, and the rest will get together to fight this “alien” amongst us, the AI robots we have created…  What a wild future…

I picked up Katie after school today.  This was the first time since “the pollen attacks” and our trip to Vancouver Island.  They are picking up at Phillips again, not the elementary school.

This was Bobby’s first Thursday at Spence’s Farm.  As you will recall, we switched to Thursday from Friday as Bobby’s friends do not go there on Friday.  My wife picked him up and picked up “Chick-Fil-A” as we will be going to Katie’s concert this evening.  Speaking of which, you can see Katie playing in the concert in the photo to the left.  Bobby was a bit restless so I let him play Solitaire on my phone.
