Day #4907 (Tue., June 13, 2023) – Stomp Rockets!
The photo to the left shows the “Stomp Rockets” that I picked up at Aldi the other day. I gave them to the kids this morning and all three of us enjoyed sending them skyward. The great thing about these, as opposed to the previous similar kit we bought a couple of years ago, is that they go higher, up to 400 feet, and are thinner so they don’t get stuck in the trees as easy. We stomped and stomped and at the end of the session we lost only one in a tree, and it will come soaring down with the slightest breeze.
I just noticed the packaging on the “Stomp Rockets”… Ages 9-13, so Bobby is too young to play with them… 🙂 Also “Indoor & Outdoor Play”???? Who would set off a rocket that goes to 400 feet indoors????
Katie and I created a little “Hillbilly Type Song”, that goes like this:
“You got a hole in your crotch and a hole in your armpit.
Open wide for everyone to see.
You got a hole in your crotch and a hole in your armpit.
So some and tell me why you’re leaving me”.
We created audio clips with voice, spoons, and jug, on our phones and assembled them into a video editor. Rudimentary for sure, but we can go back and record other tracks and refine the ones that we have as needed.
Katie went to the dentist this morning to get two teeth removed. This was needed in preparation for the braces she will be getting in a few weeks.
It might be challenging to get food options for Bobby now that he has expressed his desire to be a vegetarian. He turned down a “rice and bean” quesadilla and a “Beyond Beef” burger. He did express a desire for more “Ants on a stick” though.
As my wife was putting Bobby to bed this evening he said that he was having trouble sleeping and needed a sleeping pill. No way… He was out in a few minutes…
