My wife and I took the kids to a Lego Exhibit in Raleigh this morning. There was a timed entry to the exhibit, so we had to be there by noon. We left early, and arrived early, but they let us in, so all was well.
There were various types of display, including kind of interactive ones, such as sitting in a pink Lego chair next to a pink Lego cello, or sitting on a bench beside a yellow Lego man (see photo to the right). After the exhibit was over, there was a play area where you could do various activities like play a video game with the Lego Battlestar Galactica, or create your own creation with a “pit” of Lego bricks. Bobby played the video game for a while, but once he started to make his own Lego creation he didn’t want to leave. We coaxed him away with lunch eventually.
On the way home we stopped off at Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Everyone ate in the van on the way home, but I had my cobb salad with avocado lime dressing when we got home.
This evening Katie had a phone call with Michael while Batman rested on her bed. Bobby wanted to go to the Clark Pool for a swim, so my wife took him. I made a “vegetarian” chicken burger for the kids this evening for dinner. Both kids liked it, so that’s a great dinner option moving forward. They will also gobble up any bell pepper slices you use as an adornment.
