Day #4909 (Thu., June 15, 2023) – Pocket Knife
I went to Harris Teeter for milk this morning as the kids are back to having cereal in the morning. While there I picked up some “Crunch” and “Cookies & Cream” Klondike Bars as they were on sale.
Bobby & Katie’s grades came in and they are both doing exceptionally well. Katie’s reading is past the High School level, so she will have no problem in reading while in College. We talked about it and I suggested she create a short story that we put up on Kindle. We consulted “Bard”, Google’s AI engine for some plot suggestions. It suggested a mystery adventure based in London in the 1800’s and Katie loved it… So she’s off…
I mentioned to Bobby that Katie is writing a short story and he mentioned that he is writing one about a hamster, and I suggested he finish it and we’ll put that up on Kindle as well. He has an extra incentive because he will be able to pay off his Roblox bill.
Bobby expressed a desire for my little red pocket knife (see photo to the left), but I told him to wait till after his violin lesson this afternoon so I could instruct him how to properly handle it. Once we went over the instructions this evening he went outside to find a piece of wood to cut…
My wife took Katie to a concert this evening so I put Bobby to bed.
