Day #4915 (Wed., June 21, 2023) – Doing Cartwheels
In martial arts class today the kids went to Sky Zone, the trampoline park in Durham where Lucia had her birthday party. When they got back to the “dojo” they did some gymnastics. Bobby said that he could do almost everything, except for cartwheels.
I picked him up after class and he is right, it is loud inside. There doesn’t appear to be any padding on the walls to muffle all the screaming and yelling. Despite the noise, Bobby wants to continue on and take martial arts lessons after this week at summer camp is over. He will be talking lessons with Noah, who attends his violin class. The lessons will start off cheaper, but get more expensive as the kids move up the belt rankings.
My wife, Katie, and I went to see Sharon today to discuss Katie’s stressful situations. A good meeting with things to work on.
The kids also had dentist appointments this afternoon.
Take a look at Katie’s drawing to the right. She is getting better with each lesson and was very proud of the way that her faces are turning out. She is currently taking three drawing classes for the summer. This will trim back to one class once school starts back up in the fall.
