Katie has been getting spots on her body. They look like bug bites but she says that they are not itchy. It’s the opposite for daddy. I get these “Noseeum” bugs that attack me when I go outside. This usually go after my ankles, but this afternoon they even attacked my hands. Here’s what Bard, Google’s AI Engine, has to say about them:
Noseeums, also known as biting midges, punkies, or sand flies, are tiny flying insects that are difficult to see with the naked eye. They are about 1-3 millimeters long and have a humpbacked appearance. Noseeums are found in moist areas, such as swamps, marshes, and forests. They are most active during dusk and dawn, when they swarm around people and animals. Noseeums bite to feed on blood. Their bites are very painful and can cause itching, swelling, and redness. In some cases, noseeum bites can also lead to infections.
My wife took Bobby to the pool this afternoon. When they got back I made Bobby some “rice & beans”. His interest perked up when I told him that Ethan liked this combo. He ate it and asked for more, but “less beans” this time. As a reward for finishing I made him an ice cream cone with cherry ice cream on the bottom and cookies & cream ice cream on the top.
This afternoon Bobby and I did a crossword puzzle together and then went outside to play with the stomp rockets. You can see him getting extra power by jumping off the bench in the photo to the left.
This evening Katie and I watched some episodes of the “Cottage Fairy” on YouTube. She longs for the simpler life like this.
